Day Off deux

I find baths and the whole process of bathing, extremely cathartic. Everytime I exfoliate and slough off the dead skin, I feel light afterward... a little heady from the humid air, but light nonetheless. I used one of those Body Shop exfoliating towels (a necessary beauty staple, that I simply can't be without), and I just zone out, as I scrub and rub. It's very meditative. I always make it a point to take a long, hot bath whenever I have a day off from work. I cherish that time... it's never rushed. It's almost as if I've removed another layer of stress. Liquid, soapy therapy, is what I refer to it as.
Soaked, exfoliated, scrubbed, shaved and moisturized.
Sated, relaxed, and content...

came to read the fashion post as recommended on Blissville, and had to comment after this one. I. LOVE. BATHING. It is a supremely healing thing. Unfortunately, I have become addicted to it and bathe twice a day. I have just found out that the awful rash on my stomach is the result of too-frequent hot water exposure. :( I have been ordered to only bathe once a day to let my cuticle layer of skin repair itself. So believe me honey, I fell your love for the bath. And I may have a slightly compulsive issue with it. I guess this better serve as my comment for the fashion post, too since I've blabbed way longer than i intended.

Totaly off subject. I am in love with your brick wall. I have always had a special place in my heart for brick walls inside apartments. I'm not sure why but somthing about it always made me smile when it came time for decorating. The rough facade mixed with the finer elements of home decor has always just made so damn happy. I'm totaly lusting after that wall.

@mere: Not only is bathing healing... it's sexy and it's cathartic. I try to only do the baths on my days off from work, because I look forward to them that much more. Even showering... the whole process of bathing is sexy to me.

@Siobhan: The exposed brick wall, is what made me fall in love with this spacious, lofted, studio. I love it!
It's a struggle to stay here, but it's well worth it! I've always thought homes, apartments with brick walls, had a lot of character... and it somehow makes one's living space seem warmer and cozier.

I love to take care of my skin and body also. I think you and I are part French because of our love of grooming.

I do a ritual bath on Saturday, my day off. I love bathing. It is so wonderful. I am a collector of bath products. I love scrubs, deep conditioners, bath oils and bubble bath. I spend forever in the tub and get out feeling so refreshed and renewed.
