We started seeing the hate train against Megan when male rappers, troglodytic podcasters, and their echo chambers began denying her aptitude as a rapper. Men would make crass jokes in her Twitter mentions misgendering her because of her stature. Megan was also on the outs with the CEO of the record label she first signed with, 1501 Certified Entertainment. Then there were accusations taunting her about the death of her beloved mother, Holly Thomas, claiming Megan had sacrificed her in exchange for fame… a wild conspiracy theory echoed by ex-NFL player Larry Johnson, who continued to cyber-harass her on social media, including about being shot.
After news broke that Megan had been shot in the foot by an obscure, felonious Canadian rapper with a history of abuse and violence, the foolishness took off.
